The murder count climbed after a double killing in a domestic dispute.
Authorities are investigating the incident off Carmichael where two men, brothers-in-law, died on Tuesday night.
Officials said it started on Mutton Fish Drive around 5 pm when the men got into a dispute and attacked with a cutlass.
Police said when they arrived at the residence, prompted by an argument, they met a man outside of the residence with a wound to the neck. They soon found another man lifeless in the front room of the house.
The altercation became a physical fight when one of the men retrieved a cutlass and attacked the other. A fight then ensued, police said.
The man chopped to the neck was transferred to the hospital but he died sometime later.
They were 38 and 42 years old.
It is unclear how police will categorize this latest incident and what role self-defence could play in their investigations.
This comes on the heel of a triple murder in Fox Hill, on Monday night.
