The man gunned down outside of a business establishment on Thursday morning is known by many who described him as “the coolest guy going.”
Friends were shocked when they learned that Eddie Miller was with his wife and children when he stopped at a local business to shop for groceries and gunmen approached, killing him in the parking area of the establishment.

Sandra Strachan had known him since junior high school and was utterly shocked at his death. “Wow! [He] was never a problem person. Wow!”
Paige Carey echoed a similar sentiment. “I never knew him to bother anyone. [He] stayed to himself.”
Darlene questioned why he was killed: “Why [did] they [do] this to him?” she asked.
Police have not revealed any motive for the shooting. They said three gunmen exited a white vehicle to shoot Miller before fleeing in the westerly direction on Cowpen Road.
The screams from his family pierced the air as his wife and children who were preparing to attend school, watched him take his last breath with visible gunshot wounds and blood about the body.
Referring to the suspects, Shavonne Deveaux stated, “Yall did it the front of his child, my God! This is beyond sad; a coward act!’
Antonia Griffin remembered that he was “very humble from time.”

Raynell Smith had just seen Miller and recalled her last encounter, “Oh wow Eddie just hail me last week in the store.”
According to authorities, Miller’s death is the 86th murder for the year.
Some questioned the murder rate in the country and cried for the enforcement of the law.
“What’s going on in the Bahamas? Nickito Ferguson asked. “Every single day, someone dies or is murdered. Something needs to be done because this is crazy.”
