The details revealed in the death of 60-year-old expat Marcus Hinsbey are graphic and gruesome.

The Technical Accounts Manager at Cable Bahamas Group of Companies was killed with a sharp object in his Western condominium where he was discovered with “multiple lacerations” to the body.

Hinsbey is seen beating a drum

CSJ Report understands that the body of the British man was covered in a sheet, and police discovered that he suffered a slit to the throat while his intestines hanged out of his body in the bedroom of his Venito home on Monday.

Police were alerted when coworkers noticed Hinsbey did not show up for work nor did he call in.  Police then breached the condominium and found his body inside, which was also inflicted with stab wounds to the back and defense wounds in the hands, which indicate the victim may have fended off his attacker.

It is believed Hinsbey, also president of the Homeowners Association at Vernito, may have been dead for more than 24 hours.

Authorities still do not know who killed Hinsbey but they are using cameras on the property to find the killer. The building requires a key card and the person likely used one to gain access to Hinsbey’s condominium.

Friend Andrea Gottlieb said Hinsbey’s death was shocking and described him as “gentle, kind, mild-mannered and considerate.”

Police are asking the public for assistance in finding the suspect. You can contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 502-9991/2, Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
