Children and Woman Die in Apartment Fire

The charred remains of three bodies were discovered in an apartment fire on Coco Plum Avenue, East Street early Sunday morning.
Police said they were called to the scene around 5:15 am in the residential area.
After the fire was extinguished, firefighters found the remains of a 7-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl and an adult woman.
The discovery left family members and neighbors devastated. Screams and yells echoed in the early morning hours as police extinguished the blaze and retrieved the bodies.
The bodies were transported by hearse to the morgue.
Police said they are still conducting inquires into how the fire started.
