Man Jailed for Spitting in the Face of Strangers

A man who appeared in court for spitting in the face of two strangers tells the Magistrate, he did so because he “felt like it.”
Fifty-one year old Owen Strapp appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes and was jailed for two months after spitting on Kevin Robinson and Owen Johnson, unknown to him.
He spat on Robinson after an argument in the parking lot of Home Fabrics, Carmichael Road, and spat on Johnson in the parking area of Royal Bank of Canada in the same area.
Strapp was scolded by the magistrate and was also fined $500 for failing to wear a mask in public.
