The toddler remains in critical condition at Princess Margaret Hospital
Speaking in the House of Assembly on Monday, he spoke to the issue praising the medical team who was able to stabilize the toddler and police officers who captured the suspects in the incident.
Da’nyla Roberts is presently in hospital in critical condition after she was shot in the abdomen on Friday night, shortly before 10pm in Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera, as she was sitting with her grandmother on the porch of their residence.
Reports are that an argument ensued between two men, one of which returned in a vehicle, firing into a group assembled outside, after making a comment.
The toddler was airlifted to New Providence.
Police said they arrested two male suspects in connection to the shooting incident.
