A man believed to be between 25-30 years old has died after being shot at a residence on Sequoia Street, Pinewood Gardens on Sunday evening.
Social media users have unofficially identified him as Caden affectionately known as ‘CJ’. He is believed to have two children which he shares with his fiance.
According to Chief Superintendent Christopher Minus, the officer in charge at East Street South Police Station said the police control room received reports of shots fired in the area around 8:35 pm.
The man was found lifeless with gunshots to the body.
Neighbors said they heard nearly five gunshots before he was discovered.
Police said they know the man but he is not on bail for any offense.
A witness said the suspects fled the scene in a black Kia vehicle in an easterly direction.
This is the 88th homicide of the year.
