An 8-year-old boy died hours after he was found hanging from a security bar in his home.
Police confirmed that the boy of St Alban’s Drive died in hospital on Thursday in what police initially believe to be a ‘suspected suicide’.
A woman was seen visibly distraught as children were led away from the home.
The child was found hanging from a security bar at a home with a belt tied around his neck.
The boy’s older brother discovered his younger sibling and alerted the family and the police.
Medical personnel discovered him unresponsive with a slight pulse and attempted to resuscitate him. He was transported to the hospital in an ambulance, accompanied by his father, but he died a short time later.
