Chinese Workers Demand a Flight Back to China

Bahamians welcomed the requests by the Chinese workers to be sent home to their mother country.
Some people have taken to social media affirming that the Chinese workers’ requests be granted as Chinese people, they say, have taken the jobs away from Bahamians.
Scores of Chinese workers of the Pointe Resort and Marina protested in front of the Chinese Embassy this morning, demanding they be sent home to China.
Many of them in their native language, rowdily congregated on the lawn of the embassy.
Counselor of the Embassy Haigang Yin explained to reporters, the plight of the workers, saying they wanted to go home as their job is near complete and they are concerned about the increase of COVID-19 in the country.
Yin said a flight would be arranged to send the nearly 200 workers back to China.
