The Bahamas reopens to international travellers on July 1st with the opening on hotels and rentals for now
As the country moves into Phase 2 of its tourism reopening on Wednesday, not all touristic businesses will reopen.
Prime Minister Hubert Minnis reminded the nation on Sunday that attractions, excursions and tours, straw vendors, and jet ski operators are to remain closed on July 1st.
He said on July 13th, attractions and excursions and tours will reopen, and on July 27th, straw vendors and jet ski operators may commence operations.
Instead on Wednesday, hotels and vacation rentals which were closed, will reopen.
Taxi services will resume operations based on guidelines in the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation Bahamas Tourism Readiness and Recovery Plan, and private and public bus services may resume, with 50 percent occupancy based on guidelines in Readiness and Recovery Plan.
