It is a first phase repatriation exercise to bring citizens home who were stuck abroad during the border closure.
Williams expresses gratitude to the government “for giving me a free trip home, a hot and rather tasty meal, showing compassion, and cute lil gift, and offering additional assistance if needed.”
Her comment is a response to a video in circulation on social media where a woman stands in a hotel room complaining of the food items that were given by officials and the room where she in being quarantined, which she describes as “mouldy.”
Williams says, “Since the lady in Nassau wanna complain about everything… I’d like to say thank you to my Bahamas government. Coming back to Grand Bahama is bittersweet for me but I’m grateful nonetheless.”
