Grand Bahama Has One New COVID-19 Case
Another case pushes COVID-19 cases to 15 for the country
A 57 year old woman is the latest COVID-19 case for the country.
The Ministry of Health on Wednesday afternoon confirmed that this new case is a resident of Grand Bahama.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Health said the woman has no travel history and no known connection to previous cases. She is hospitalized and remains in stable condition.
Health officials said Grand Bahama now has 3 confirmed cases of the virus, while New Providence has 12 confirmed cases. This new case brings the total number of confirmed cases for the country to 15.
Health officials said they continue to follow the condition of its positive cases, as all persons are in stable condition at home.
However, the 12th case has been hospitalized and is “receiving supportive management,” the statement said.
The public is reminded to follow the emergency orders and maintain social distancing of 3 to 6 feet to prevent spread of the virus.
