If you have Fabuloso cleaning products in your cabinet, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission is requesting you trash it.
Nearly 5000 bottles of Fabuloso cleaning products were recalled on Wednesday over risk of bacteria contamination.
Although no harm or incidents have been reported, Colgate-Palmolive, manufacturer of the products said “a preservative was not added at the intended levels during manufacturing,” which are conditons for the growth of Pseudomonas bacteria.
Besides the recall in the US, about 56,000 were recalled in Canada.
Pseudomonas bacteria is commonly found in soil and water, and could cause serious infections in people who have weakened immune systems, external medical devices or underlying lung conditions, if inhaled, according to the safety commission.
Colgate-Palmolive says it will offer refunds or replacements to consumers who submit a picture of the product’s UPC and lot codes.
