Just one day after his termination as managing director of Clifton Heritage, Mario Bannister along with two others faced the court in connection to a recent heinous murder.
Why it matters
Bannister, 62, is accused of an accessory to the killing and conspiracy to commit the murder of Philip Adderley, who was found on August 15 with hands and feet bound, and stab wounds to the body.
Prime Minister Philip Davis terminated Mario Bannister from his role following disturbing graphic images circulated on social media which allegedly details the events leading to Adderley’s demise and Bannister’s link to the crime.

The big story
Social media content showcases messages and pictures that suggest a premeditated act of violence in a secluded area before Adderley was found in waters near Stuart Cove’s off Albany West. The other suspects—Donte Riley, 26, and Christian Napier,28, who were charged with murder and accessory to murder, held a conversation with Bannister describing their involvement in the matter.
State of Play
The men remain at the Bahamas Department of Corrections until February 13 for a service of voluntary bill of indictment and can apply for bail.
