Some took to social media to support the victimturning an instance of hate into an outpouring of love and a call for justice.

“I pray he is okay. He normally sits by the parking lot opposite Government House. I walk by daily for two years and he doesn’t bother anyone. He just sits there.

“Why would they do this to him? This isn’t right and some sort of justice should prevail for him. Accountability is a must for the actions of those young, wild criminals because if the shoe was on the other foot, it wouldn’t be the same,” Aisha Deveaux said.

The victim’s mother spoke to ZNS, expressing anger at the unprovoked act of violence.

“You know what that do to you, especially if you know your son is a child who messes with nobody,” she said in tears. “I can’t even tell you how I felt. My heart almost stopped.”

The assault, captured in a video and posted to social media is now being used as evidence in the case against the teen suspects.

Janine Weech echoed her sentiments, “Retribution should be paid to the victim by the perpetrators. They will grow up to be violent adults.”

“Such heartless human beings. But wait, are they humans? No, I don’t think so. They should be punished and do community services at the old folks home.”

Police are in search of the other teens involved in the incident and have asked parents to turn in their children if they were involved in the brutal attack.
