Axe Killer and Victim Were ‘Close Friends’ Before Near Beheading

The axe killer shot dead by police on Sunday night was a friend of the victim he nearly decapitated.

A former girlfriend of the axe killer who also shared a child with him, confirmed the relationship between the two men and said she had no feelings for the axe killer because of what he did.

Social media identified them by their aliases, ‘Sly and Boo Boo.’

On Tuesday, police officially identified the axe killer as Larry McIntosh, 31 who lived in the area where the incident took place, Kenilworth Street off Mount Royal Avenue.

It was reported the victim’s neck was nearly severed and only hung on by loose skin before police arrived and shot the axe killer to death as “he attempt[ed] to chop him a second time”.

Larry’s uncle, Christopher McIntosh spoke to the Tribune and said on the day of the incident, Larry who lived with him, shattered the windows of the house.

Larry McIntosh, 31 killed his friend with an axe on Sunday.

“Larry and I met face to face when I opened the front door. He had the hatchet after he already had slashed the windows.

“I was able to get back inside the house, he got over with the hatchet with full force intentionally to come inside behind me.”

McIntosh then locked himself in the house and attempted to call the police. Unbeknownst to him, Larry had already killed his friend.

The men got into a heated argument before the heinous crime.

“They were friends all their life, so I can’t figure out why that would happen,” McIntosh said.

McIntosh said Larry and the victim were ‘drinking buddies’ and were warned about disturbing the neighborhood.

Too graphic to show, the scene was described as disturbing and gruesome as the victim was hacked to death with an axe in the middle of the street.

It’s still not known the motive for the gruesome crime.

When police responded to the scene, they shot and killed the axe hacker who collapsed next to the victim and both were pronounced dead.
